Our Library
The children really enjoy all the facilities at our library.
Our school has a well resourced library with a wide range of fiction, non-fiction and reference books which are eagerly used by all students. We aim to continually add new books to support curriculum needs and foster student enjoyment of reading. We have a number of computers which are connected to the internet. All students are taught how to use the internet safely and responsibly.
The library is open every day for the students to research information, receive homework help, read for enjoyment or to play board and card games to help develop co-operation skills.
The Premier's Reading Challenge
Our school has participated in the New South Wales Premier's Reading Challenge for the last four years. All students from K-6 are encouraged to participate and eagerly work hard to complete the challenge. If you would like to know more about the challenge click here: Premier's Reading Challenge .
Children's Book Awards
These awards are run annually and give our students access to great literature by Australian authors and illustrators. Our students are currently enjoying these books and choosing their favourites. The winners will be announced during 'Book Week.' The theme for this year is 'Reading is my Secret Power'. To view the short list and notables view short listed books.
