Stories and highlights

There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Our students compete at the Seven Hills Wentworthville zone carnivals and trial for Zone sports teams. From this, they have the opportunity to compete at Sydney West and NSW PSSA levels.

Students who enjoy performance and creative arts participate in choir and drama. Our choir is part of the ensemble choir at the Blacktown Festival of Performing Arts.

Through local and state wide public speaking and debating competitions, students refine their oral presentation skills. These opportunities include:

- Blacktown Learning Community Public Speaking Competition;

- Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition;

- Premiers' Debating Challenge

Being a small school allows us to participate in whole school excursions. Over the past two years, we have been to Manly and across the Harbour on ferries, and to the Australian Museum.

Stage 3 students participate in an overnight camp every second year. This year, we went to the Great Aussie Bush Camp at Tea Gardens and participated in a range of outdoor experiences.

For Harmony Day, we celebrate the many cultures that make up SHPS. Students and staff are encouraged to dress in traditional clothing or wear orange.
